It has been some time since Emirates hasn’t offered (published) benefit of chauffeur drive on partner-issued award tickets, although some people reported to be able to use the service by dropping by chauffeur desk at arrivals hall in DXB airport. I was browsing official terms of the service the other day to check if I could use it on Malaysia Airlines-marketed flight operated by Emirates and noticed a new line there.
Effective 1 March 2019, new Chauffeur-drive service reservations are not available in conjunction with Skywards Business and First Class Classic Rewards and Economy to Business Class Upgrades.
Sounds to me like a cost-cutting measure, but the general trend in industry I observe over the past few years is the growing chasm between terms on revenue premium tickets and award premium tickets.
